The President of the European Economic and Social Committee, George Dassis, met today with European Commission First Vice-President, Frans Timmermans, to deliver the EESC contribution to the Commission’s 2017 work programme. The EESC recommends the strengthening of economic and social cohesion, a boost to the EU’s global role and increased citizens’ ownership of the EU.
