The ongoing Zika epidemic could prompt athletes, staff and tourists to skip the 2016 Olympic games in Rio, Brazil, since the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared it as a global emergency.
According to a Reuters report, the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) suggested to U.S. sports federations that athletes and staff concerned for their health over the Zika virus should consider not going to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in August.
