During the Scottish Independence Referendum a few months ago, the European Union made it very clear that an independent Scotland would not be welcome in the EU nor in the eurozone.
The Scots, however, gave the battle of the referendum, even if the EU position seemed to exclude the possibility of having the euro as their currency in case of Independence.
In the coming elections, the latest opinion polls suggest the Scottish National Party (SNP) could win a large majority once again.
