A very interesting and important vote took place at the European Parliament last week. MEPs voted in favour of new rules against the trade in torture goods.
In practice, the members of the European Parliament approved new rules aimed at stopping the export, transit, marketing and promotion of goods that could be used for torture or inhumane treatment, including drugs used for lethal injections in countries that still apply the death penalty.
