Vietnam shut down Facebook during Obama’s visit aimed at freedom of speech


Obama is currently visiting several Asian countries, including Vietnam. Relations with the former war enemy has been following for long a pattern of normalisation and during the visit Obama lifted the army ban to Vietnam, allowing the South East Asian to buy weaponry from the US.

However, despite this positive outcome, and the funny encounter with Vietnam's 'Queen of Rap' Suboi, the visit also saw a less than encouraging event.
