Vietnam calls on India to talk to China


Vietnam is calling on India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the disputed South China Sea during his upcoming visit to Beijing May 14-16, reports The Economic Times, a digital venture of the Times of India Group.

The director general of Vietnam’s External Information Directorate in Hanoi told a group of visiting Indian journalists that India has always supported Vietnam whenever China tried to violate Vietnamese sovereignty, especially its strategic island, Spratly.
