The agreement between US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin took place in a bilateral meeting, at the sidelines of the G20 conference in Turkey


After the brutal Paris attacks, the United States and Russia finally reached consensus on the need for “a Syrian-led and Syrian-owned political transition,” to end the country’s catastrophe.

US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin, had a bilateral meeting at the sidelines of the G20 conference in Turkey. A White House official said Obama and Putin had agreed the United Nations would mediate negotiations between the Syrian opposition and the regime after a ceasefire.
