US and allies worry about missile tests performed by Iran

The Iranian designed and built precision-guided, long-range missile, is called the Emad (Pillar) surface-to-surface missile.

US, together with Britain, France and Germany are saying that the missile was “inherently capable of delivering a nuclear weapon.”


US together with Britain, France and Germany called the UN sanctions committee to consider taking measures against Iran, because the oil-rich country tested weeks ago new generation of long-range ballistic missiles.

The four countries raised the issue at the UN Security Council on Wednesday and they called the (sanctions) committee, with the support of the independent UN panel of experts, to review” the Iranian missile tests “quickly and recommend appropriate action.”
