Ukraine predicts that the volume of its cooperation with China in the defence industry may go up to hundreds of millions of dollars annually. Interfax quoted Oleh Urussky, first deputy head of the commission in charge of the defence sector, as saying on November 18 that as of today, deals between Ukraine and China in this sector "are estimated at USD 50 million a year." Urussky suggested that this figure might soon rise to several hundred millions of US dollars.
