Two journalists and a politician shot dead in Finland

Police inspect a site where a gunman shoot dead three people in front of the Vuoksenvahti restuarant in a small town of Imatra, south-east Finland, 04 December 2016. According to Police, a local politician and two journalists were shot dead with a rifle outside a restaurant around midnight on 03 December.

The motive behind the attack remain unclear

One politician and two journalists have been shot dead in Imatra, Southern Finland, on Saturday evening.

The three women were leaving a restaurant by a 23-year-old local man, who was arrested. The man used a hunting rifle and is known to have had a criminal record. His motive remains unknown.

The police believe the victims were chosen in random.
