The Islamic State (IS) terrorist group posted pictures online indicating the destruction of two ancient shrines near the ancient city of Palmyra.

According to Al Jazeera, the pictures showed smoke rising from the hilltop tomb of Mohammed Bin Ali, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad's cousin, Imam Ali.
