Turkey meets EU on migration demands, renews EU accession impetus


The EU summit on Turkey has concluded with the two sides agreeing that Turkey's accession process needs to be re-energized, and alleviating some of the financial pressure the large Syrian refugee influx has caused Turkey by providing an initial 3 billion euro in assistance. A resettlement plan for hundreds of thousands of refugees was also discussed prior to the summit by 8 heads of state and European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker.
