Turkey has asked Iran to increase its natural gas exports to its northwestern neighbour, Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Javad Oji said, according to reports. Iran’s current gas exports to Turkey stand at 24 million cubic metres per day on average and expressed Tehran’s readiness to provide Ankara with more natural gas, Oji said, state IRIB TV website reported on 15 October, according to Tehran Times.
