Tropical depression threatens eastern Mexico

MIAMI (AP) — A new tropical depression threatens to bring flooding to parts of eastern Mexico and is expected to strengthen to a tropical storm.
The depression's maximum sustained winds early Friday are near 35 mph (55 kph) and the U.S. National Hurricane Center says the depression is expected to become a tropical storm later in the day.
