When at the end of July Alberto Barbera announced in Rome the line-up of the 70th annual Venice Film Festival, the movie critics were quite surprised to see two documentaries and an animation movie in competition. Barbera in this case took a risk but after the award ceremony that risk will be probably an important signal for the movie industry.
