President Obama’s record received a major blow after the failure of Pacific Rim trade Ministers on Friday to agree on a Trans Pacific Partnership deal in Maui, Hawaii.

The disputes that derailed the deal between the 12 Trade Ministers apparently concerned car, drug, and dairy trade. At the epicenter of the dispute was a conflict between Japanese and US automakers, whilst New Zealand dug in over dairy trade.
