Russian-British oil company TNK-BP and Sibneft, which own Slavneft equally, are not planning to split the company, a source in TNK-BP told Interfax. “We believe that at the moment this (joint ownership) is a more effective way of managing the company,” he said. Sibneft refused to comment on this. Slavneft shareholders have divided the company’s commodity flows since April 1, 2006, and in 2005 they split sales of oil products produced at Salvneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez, the Slavneft sales network and oil produced by the company.
