Timmermans in Warsaw to solve political crisis between EU and Poland 


Frans Timmermans, first vice-president of the European Commission flew to Warsaw today in order to meet with Poland's prime minister for finding a solution to the political crisis in Poland.

Alarmed by government moves that have paralyzed Poland's Constitutional Tribunal, the EU Commission has implemented the "rule of law" procedure aimed at protecting EU values including respect for law, and has threatened sanctions.
