When taking over 11 Eastern European former communist countries, the EU has not anticipated the extent of the Roma problem.


The third EU Roma summit was once more “about Roma without Roma”, according to the opinion of some Roma activists and organisations critical of the way the 4 April event was organised. Invitations were sent late, to only a handful Roma organisations.
