Potami leader Theodorakis: I lied to Juncker

The leader of “The River” (To Potami) party, Stavros Theodorakis, said on camera that he lied to European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.


"We went and told Juncker, that there needs to be a deal with Tsipras. And he asked, 'but do you trust him?' And I clenched my teeth and responded that I trust him, while I did not trust him."

Discussing the negotiations between the Greek government and the Institutions that resulted in 'a deal', Theodorakis talked about his party's contribution to the battle, accusing Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, for being ungrateful.
