Amendments to the Hungarian tax code have been approved by parliament, Interfax said in a report citing MTI. The package's new tax rates and rules will come into force on January 1, 2003. Finance Minister Csaba Laszlo said the government's initial plan was to cut the overall tax burden by about HUF 250 billion.
