Mawlawi Haibatullah Akhundzada is the new leader of the Taliban, as former leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour was killed in a US drone strike on Saturday.

Mansour became leader of the terrorists group in July 2015 and under his leadership the Taliban performed more militant attacks expanding their presence in Afghanistan.
