Swedish recruitment agencies continue to discriminate against citizens who don’t initially speak the language, even years after those citizens have proven their skills, according to a former recruitment officer in Stockholm. According to an insider from one of the country’s top recruitment firms, citizens who cannot properly speak the language are placed on a kind of blacklist, and withheld from gaining employment on the grounds of their initial application.
