Suicide attack near Turkish-Syrian border claims 44 lives


A double bombing suicide attack by IS in the Kurdish-controlled city of Qamishli has left 44 dead, on Wednesday.

A car and a motorbike were used.

According to a UK-based monitoring group, the so-called Islamic State (IS) has assumed responsibility for the attack in the Hassakeh province, near the Turkish border.

State TV showed scenes of destruction.

The IS so-called news agency (Amaq) claims the target was a government building with a Kurdish police station....
