French police have reportedly shot and killed the gunmen responsible for a deadly attack that occurred at a Christmas market in Strasbourg on December 11.

Law enforcement officials and members of France’s elite RAID police force corned 29-year old Strasbourg native Cherif Chekatt in a neighbourhood roughly 2 km from Kleber Square, the same location where he shot and killed three victims and wounded several others just three days before.

Prior to being neautralised, Chekatt had taken refuge in a warehouse before being surrounded by more than 700 police and interior ministry officers.
