MEPs adopted yesterday, 6 February 2013, a non-legislative resolution on the responsibility to protect the endangered animals. “The EU should lead international support to stop poaching of elephants and rhinos and call on the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) to end secret ballots” said the European Parliament.
