Spain tops in Jamaican investing


Spain would be the number one investor in Jamaica in 2006, said the Ambassador of Spain to Jamaica, Jesus Silva, last week. The Ambassador made reference to the Spanish hotel chain, Riu which had already invested approximately USD 250 million over the last five years in Jamaica. According to plans, there would be a total of USD 1.3 billion investment in the island by Spanish hotel chains by the end of this year.
