Spain offers Britain co-sovereignty over Gibraltar, or nothing


Spain’s acting foreign minister José Manuel García-Margallo said on Tuesday that Gibraltar is about to lose its EU freedoms. The only way out of this deadlock is co-sovereignty.

Shared Sovereignty, or nothing

While Gibraltar’s Chief Minister Fabian Picardo reassures the citizens of The Rock he may be able to negotiate different Brexit terms than the rest of the U.K., Spain has drawn a red line. It is offering co-sovereignty between Madrid and London, or nothing.
