TORONTO (AP) — Toronto police say they are responding to reports of several people being stabbed in the city’s north end.
Police Const. Victor Kwong said Wednesday one person is in custody following the incident at a business.
He says police were called at about 9:30 a.m. with reports that “a man with scissors” possibly in his 30s had entered the business and began stabbing people and that several have been hurt.
It’s not immediately known how many people are wounded or what the extent of the injuries. Kwong says police received reports that as many as five people were hurt.
An ambulance was called to the scene.
