As France approves the extension of a state of emergency until January 2017, angry youth threw Molotov cocktails against riot police forces in the Val d'Oise area, 40 km north of Paris, on Wednesday evening.

This was the second successive evening of street fights, with 15 cars and public garbage bins being burned. The local towns’ hall and a kindergarten were set ablaze.
