A team of researchers from the UC San Diego and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) have designed world's first telescopic contact lenses, which allow its wearers to magnify scene details by 2.8 times.
The project, funded by DARPA, was published on 2 July in the online journal Optics Express and aims to build lenses that doesn't have to rely on wearable technology like Google Glass.
