Researcher calls for aid to embrace ‘chaos’


LONDON, 13 November 2013 (IRIN) - For years, researcher and writer Ben Ramalingam has been worried about the state of the world in general and the state of aid and international development in particular. Now his new book, Aid on the Edge of Chaos, sets out his view that many of the things wrong with international aid are the result of thinking about the world in an outdated, mechanistic way - a mindset that cannot cope with the dynamic, complex problems seen today.
