Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump have apparently reached an agreement to restore US-Russian relations.

President Putin confirmed on Sunday he has talked to President-elect Donald Trump and the intentions are mutual. “The President-elect confirmed he is willing to normalize Russian-American relations,” Putin said.

The Russian President admitted that working with President Obama was “difficult.”

Putin was speaking at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference in Lima, Peru.

Putin is also willing to welcome outgoing President Barack Obama in Russia, if he “wants, can and has the desire.”

Commenting on Brexit, the Russian President expressed the hope “common sense” would prevail. He also expressed the wish of finalizing a peace agreement with Japan.
