OLAF, the European Union’s anti-fraud body has denied allegations made against the body by MEPs and the tobacco company, Swedish Match.

In a statement OLAF said, “OLAF denies that it has attempted to influence the evidence given by any witness.  All evidence was collected lawfully,” and, “OLAF denies that it has conducted wiretapping or has illegally recorded telephone conversations.”
