The European Parliament wants to find a solution regarding the 2013 budget shortfalls as soon as possible and then proceed with the negotiations on the Multi-annual Financial Framework (MFF). The majority of MEPs stressed that in a resolution adopted on 13 March.
As committee chair Lamassoure stated yesterday: "For the Council the adoption of the Amending Budget of €7.3 billion would mean the end of the negotiations, whereas for Parliament it is the start".
