The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) Group in the European Parliament has called on the European Commission and the EU to adopt new rules to improve corporate transparency and tax evasion. This is in response to the Panama leaks – more than 11 million documents leaked from a Panamanian law firm that expose massive money laundering, tax dodging, off-shore companies and tax havens.
