The European Union will not recognise any border between Israel and the Palestinian areas that is drawn unilaterally by Israel, European External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner said last week. Ferrero-Waldner made the remark at a private meeting with a dovish legislator in Jerusalem on her arrival for a two-day visit to Israel and the West Bank.
