Israel purchased four advanced surface German vessels for €430 million and Germany pledged to reciprocate with a purchase of Israeli ships totaling €161 million.
According to AP and Jerusalem Post, Israel's Defense Ministry announced the agreement today and Dan Harel, the Defense Ministry's director-general, said the deal marked a “dramatic jump in the navy's defensive capabilities.”
