ASTANA – Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy announced the discovery of light oil and gas deposits in the Devonian sediments of subsalt raising Ansagan, the Ministry's press service reported.

The Ansagan field is located in Zhylyoi district of Atyrau region, the identified oil and gas horizons occur relatively deeper than the Tengiz field.
