NATO is to temporarily move an allied joint force command headquarter to Cincu, Romania as it continues to hone its ability to respond to Russian moves in Ukraine, as well as other security challenges, said one of NATO's top commanders.

The Allied Joint Force Command currently based in Naples, Italy, will relocate to Cincu for 12 days in June to support a NATO exercise involving 1,000 troops from 21 NATO states, said its commander, U.S Navy Adm. Mark E. Ferguson III.
