Advancements in two competing gas pipeline projects, Nabucco and South Stream, have recently been announced.
Due to the timing of the announcements, some questions arose concerning both projects which needed an immediate response: Which will eventually be first to supply gas from the South to EU citizens? Can Europeans afford both pipelines during these times of austerity? Do they actually need so much gas?
