UK science fiction author ‘accidentally’ reinvents storytelling

On the 8 March 1978, BBC radio broadcast the first episode of The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, who first conceived the idea seven years earlier while lying drunk in a field near Innsbruck.
