EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini met with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on 25 June in Brussels on the occasion of the signing of the new EU-Pakistan Strategic Engagement Plan, which will further deepen bilateral relations, while also addressing global challenges.
They discussed the implementation of the action plan under the Financial Action Task Force, the role of Pakistan in promoting an intra-Afghan dialogue on peace and in encouraging a secure environment for the forthcoming Presidential elections, as well as the importance of re-engagement by Pakistan and India on the basis of a comprehensive partnership.
