The Chelyabinsk region-based steel works Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine (MMK) announced a net profit of 1.345 billion rubles in the first six months of 2002, according to Interfax.
The figure, based on Russian accounting standards, fell by nearly 32 percent. Sales were 12.3 percent higher to 25.819 billion rubles, MMK said.
