Missing Hong Kong bookseller says he turned himself into Chinese authorities


One of five members to have gone missing from a Hong Kong bookstore that specialises in selling gossipy political books on China’s Communist Party leaders reportedly turned himself into the authorities in China.

As reported by the Reuters news agency, Gui Minhai, a naturalised Swedish citizen who vanished from his apartment in Thailand last October said he voluntarily returned to China to answer a conviction from 2004 for killing a student in a drink-driving accident.
