The European Border and Coast Guard Agency known as Frontex, led on 28 June-8 July an international operation known as Joint Action Day, against organized cross-border crime in Central and South Eastern Europe.
The internal cooperation was co-led by Austria, and the opportunity for information exchange between the countries was provided by EU agencies and international organizations, such as Europol and Interpol.
