In an effort to appeal to younger voters ahead of the May 2019 European Elections, Parliament Deputies will take part in a European Parliament’s Youth Event in Strasbourg on June 1 that will see MEPs Tomáš ZdechovskýEva Kaili, and Dita Charanzova perform on stage with hip-hop artists in an event targeting European voters under the age of 40.

The event is designed as a showpiece by Brussels aimed at combatting the rise of populism and nationalism across the EU. The Strasbourg gathering comes exactly a year after a similar concert was held to garner youth support for next year’s elections.
