McDonald’s is responding to parents’ interest for more books by launching a two-year campaign to "hand out more than 15 million children’s books by the end of 2014” with a £1 book offer on its Happy Meal boxes.

The National Literacy Trust backs the "Happy Readers" offer which enables customers to buy books for £1 and will be featured on Happy Meal boxes until the end of 2014.
