With a soaring rhetoric Margus Tsahkna, Minister Social Protection from Estonia addressed the EPP Congress in Madrid October 22 to remind them that the time for action has come. Tsahkna described the challenges that Europe faced, from Russia and from North Africa and issued a call for Europe to unite and to face these challenges as one.

We have different interests, different worries, and different ideas of the future but we cannot forget that Europe as it came out of the second world war had one idea and one idea alone. Peace.
On the migration crisis Tsahkna was strong in his words, saying that those who attempt to enter Europe illegally must be sent back, but was also compassionate in his call for aid to those fleeing their hopes in the migration crisis.
Despite these comments, Tsahkna, as a native of Estonia was quick to remind the group that Russian and their lack of respect for borders was as vital a security threat as any Europe faces and that the EPP should not forget this:
I am pleased to see that Europe has taken a firm stance against the country that does not respect borders. The sanctions must remain until Russia fixes its fundamental issues which brough the sanctions in the first place.
When wrapping up his speech Tsahkna kept it short and simple… “Just do it.”
