After more than three years of campaign, the disability movements all over Europe warmly welcomed the announcement of the European Accessibility Act, last week, by the European Commission. Around 80 million people in the European Union are affected by a disability to some degree. Due to the ageing of the population, this figure is expected to increase to 120 million by 2020.
